![]() It's understandable that she'd resent the girl, but she also fails to extend the slightest ounce of sympathy despite Jeiun making it very clear she genuinely wanted to get along, never wanted this situation in the slightest and just wanted to go home after she was taken away from everyone she ever knew and loved and thrown into a ridiculously complex role she had never been prepared for and where no one respected her. ![]() In particular I enjoy that she does have a certain level of unexpected complexity to her: For all her resentment of Jeiun, Jeiun was NOT a bad person, was not at fault for what happened and Tia's attitude towards her was not really justified. ![]() Tia is a little on the bland side and strangely naive, but she's still a sympathetic and interesting character. That being said, the rest of the story is quite solid. The explanation for why he didn't like her also makes him look like a gullible fool. more> know why he disliked her to begin with nor why he likes her now. ![]() This leads to his changed attitude making very little sense because now we don't. It doesn't help that he isn't even around that often because Tia avoids him and he has very few POV sections. It also becomes hard to trust the ML because yeah, he's being nice now, but we know what he could do if he started feeling cranky. Sends a very bad real world message, even if it's justified in universe. ![]() This story deserves a better rating than 2.7. ![]()
